I love this: "Let’s not build our own prison out of the things we don’t have yet." It’s a great reminder to look back at what we have achieved and reflect on how good our lives are in the present moment. We are often so stuck on the future and the next big thing that we forget how fortunate we already are.

I needed this today. Especially seeing so many successful entrepreneurs, it's easy to lose yourself in the best part of all: the journey to get there. By noticing what you already have and the fortunate situation you're in, you start building because of curiosity or interest rather than 'making it' to the next level of life. Thanks Melissa!

It really struck me. Every entrepreneur has to deal with the problem of comparing yourself to someone else’s middle or end part, especially when you’re building without the advantages or safety net. What you said about freedom is true. To have control over your time, your relationships, and your community is a greater achievement than most people ever make. The rest will come when it happens.

“Don’t make a prison of what isn’t here yet."
