This is a cool perspective. My co-founder literally funded the company with his own cash. It never occurred to me to want to have the same equity as he did. In fact, I’d go as far to as to say I didn’t realize that co-founder implied equal equity! But I can definitely see how that would be a POV.
I think, in general, it’s easy to put too much stock in the title of “co-founder.” At the end of the day, it doesn’t really communicate much, in some ways.
